The Gauntlet Bridge Puzzle

The Bridge Puzzle in the gauntlet requires the player to manipulate various pressure plates in order to activate a floating, magical bridge.

The bridge is comprised of four tiles that have three states: Invisible, Partially Visible and Solid.

The goal is to find the right combination of pressure plates to make a part of the bridge solid, move one character onto it and then proceed changing the remaining party members around the tiles until the bridge is crossed.

To solve this puzzle, the player is required not only to find the correct pattern to activate the currently accessible bridge tile into 'solid' state, but also to identify the next move ahead that allows him to move on.

Some hints for those that do not want to use the full solution:

• Put your characters into 'Hold Position' mode (H key or the small icon under the portraits).

• Move your characters around until you have found the combination that makes the first tile solid, the second tile halfway solid.

• Keep moving around until you find the combination that makes both initial tiles solid.

• Keep moving around until you find the combination that makes the second tile solid and the third tile partially visible.

• Return to the first combination and move your PC ahead.

• Proceed.

• Cheat: You can make your life easier by using summoned creatures as a Ranger or an animated corpse as a Mage.
